Tail Tapping Antics have designed a workshop to help you with dogs with issues; understanding them and managing them to stop them getting stressed. As an experienced, qualified Dog Groomer and Dog Trainer, I am very lucky to be able to put my skill set together and share them with you in my Bite Prevention and Handling training workshop. For Pet Professionals all over, from Vet Nurses, Kennel Maids, Dog Groomers, Daycare Centres, Dog Walkers and Handlers.

Our course is that good, OCN approached us to ensure it became a qualification.

Course Content

  • Theory of dog training understanding how to use it (positive reinforcement)

  • Reading body language

  • Understanding the use of calming signals and signs of stress

  • Triggers for aggression/nervousness and trigger stacking

  • Stress threshold and how to contain it

  • Changing undesired behaviours on the table, in the bath, in the waiting pens etc to wanted, calm, happy behaviours.

  • Management techniques

  • Review of products on the market that can help utilise behaviours.

  • Contributors to undesirable behaviours such as diet, health, learned experiences.

  • Case studies and examples.

  • Implementation plan

  • Training for your customers
